Rue Victor Contesso is in the heart of the old town of Villefranche-sur-mer. Click here to see the map. Built in the 1750’s the walls are over 30 centimetres thick. The house is full of charm and character and covers two floors. It will comfortably sleep four but can accommodate six.
Entering the front door at street level you go up a flight of stairs to the main living area, toilet, kitchen and, a rarity for the old town, a delightful, secluded and private courtyard garden.
There is a spiral wooden staircase that takes you downstairs to the sleeping area of two bedrooms which can also be accessed from the street. There is also a bathroom with shower and toilet.
The property has been modernised and offers full central heating throughout and air conditioning in the downstairs sleeping area. The beds are kingsize and there is a travel cot with supplementary mattress.
The courtyard which is accessed from the living area hallway has a Weber gas BBQ and table and four chairs with cushions and parasol. The kitchen window opens out onto the garden.
The house is available to rent the whole year round. Rentals are for a minimum of one week.

Kitchen: Electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, iron & board, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, citrus juicer, food processor and Nespresso coffee machine. The granite topped table seats four comfortably. There is the usual collection of cooking utensils as well as the full complement of crockery and glasses.
The main living area on the upper level has a very comfortable lounge. There are two sofas as well as casual chairs and there is a flat screen Sony television with full English satellite package and DVD player. There is a 20 Mb wireless broadband connection and an i-pod docking station.
There are a number of games, playing cards etc as well as a large library of holiday reading in addition to a variety of DVDs. Maps and guide books of the area are available to use.
The terrace extends to some 20 metres and is very private. It has terracotta floor tiling and in the summer months two of the walls are covered with sweet jasmine and bougainvillea.
There is a round metal table with matching chairs, padded cushions and a large parasol. The Weber gas barbecue and tools are available for use.
